![]() ![]() The Insights feature is one of the features that enable Cortana to make suggestions based on the information that we have added to the notes. If you don’t want to see this alert again, select the Don’t Display This Message Again check box before you click Yes. 2 Disable the Insights feature in the Stick Notes app. To delete a note that you no longer need, click its Delete button in the upper-right corner. The first time you delete a note, Windows asks you to confirm the deletion. Your choices here are Blue, Green, Pink, Purple, White, or Yellow. If you want to create a new note, click or tap the 'New Note' button from the top-left corner of a note, or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + N. To colour-code, a sticky note, right-click the note and then click the colour you want. To bring all of your sticky notes back to the desktop or to the top of the windows on the desktop, click it again. Click it once to temporarily hide all the sticky notes on your desktop. The note you create will stay on the desktop. Windows opens a new blank note on the desktop, positioning the cursor at the beginning of the note. To create a Sticky Note, click Start→All Programs→Accessories→Sticky Notes. Right-click the Sticky Notes icon in the taskbar, and then click Pin to taskbar. But you can pin Sticky Notes to the Windows taskbar to see your list of notes instantly or to create a new note quickly. You cannot currently have Sticky Notes stay on top of other applications. You can also open a new note by pressing Ctrl+N. Note: Your sticky notes may have disappeared under other applications. To create additional notes, click the New Note button. In the search box, type Sticky Notes, and then tap Sticky Notes in the list of results. Just open Sticky Notes by tapping the Start button. See it that is the issue John at 0:18 1 Closing and re-opening the note worked for me. If it is in a public network location it may get lock. You can use them to set notes and reminders for yourself, to write a to-do list or jot down anything else that you’d use a pad of paper for. Sticky Note is analogous to Word et al, so if you start it, leave it open and no one else has access, then you should be able to edit. One of my favourites in the new Operating System (win 7) there are sticky notes that are native to the operating system. ![]()
